How to do a 90-Day Immigration Report in Korat (Nakhon Ratchasima) Thailand

By: iamAldonLopez | December 18, 2018

If you are a foreigner working or staying in Thailand and holding a Non-Immigrant Visa, you are required by Thai Immigration to report your present address every 90 days. There are ways on how to file your 90-day report such as:

– Visit Immigration offices throughout the country

Note: You can either go in person or authorize someone to file for you.

Report to Thai Immigration via registered mail; however, you are required to send the following documents:

• Copy off all passport pages (up to the latest arrival stamp in the kingdom or latest visa stamp)

• Copy of arrival/departure card TM.6 (front and back)

• Previous notifications or staying over 90 days (if any)

• Completely filled out and signed notification form TM. 47

• Envelope with 5 baht stamp affixed and return address of foreigner for the officer in charge to send back the lower part of form TM. 47 after having received the notification. This part must be kept for reference and for future notifications of staying over 90 days.

NOTE: Please make sure to send these documents to this address and it should arrive 7 days before your 90-day expires.

Address: 90 DAYS REGISTRATION, IMMIGRATION DIVISION 1 Government Complex Building B 120 Moo 3, Chaengwattana Road, Soi 7, Laksi, Bangkok 10210

Please ensure that you have to keep the receipt of the registration for verification purposes when sending registered mail.

It is better to keep track of the rules of Thai Immigration at all times during your stay in the country. Failure to file your 90-day report can result in a fine of 2,000 THB and can increase to up to 5,000 THB once you get arrested.

This information was updated last June 2018 from the Thai embassy.

“90-Days Report office is located beside the Immigration office in Korat.”

In my case, instead of choosing the online option. I chose to go to the immigration office in Korat today to file my 90-day report with my colleagues. Then, maybe do the online option next time. So, here’s how:

If you are working or staying in Nakhon Ratchasima(Korat), Thailand and thinking of going to the immigration office in person to file your 90-day report. You can take a songtaew no. 6 from Korat ‘The Mall’ and ask the driver to drop you off at the Thaosuranari Monument intersection.

“Songtaew to Thaosuranari Monument.”

From Thoasuranari monument, wait for a bus going to Chok Chai. Please don’t hesitate to ask for assistance from the side vendors if you think you can’t seem to find this bus sign going to Chok Chai. They will be very happy to assist especially if they know you are not from Thailand.

“Thaosuranari Monument”
“Bus going to Chok Chai.”
“Inside the bus, going to the immigration office.”

Please don’t forget to ask the driver before you find an available chair to drop you off at “TOMO 9” or at the immigration office. From Thaosuranari Monument to Tomo 9 will only take 15-20mins depending on the traffic jam. So, I would suggest that you go early.

“Tomo 9”

You need to walk the street going to the immigration office. This will only take 2-3 minutes walking.

“Way to Immigration Office.”

“Signboard to the immigration office.”
“Immigration Office in Korat.”
“90-days report office beside the immigration.”
“Form to fill out for your 90-day report.”
“Steps on how to file your 90-day report.”

When you arrive at the Immigration office, you go directly to 90-days report office and get a queue number with the form and start filling it out. Then, wait for your number to be called. Once called, you give the filled out form along with your passport. The immigration officer will now update your file. Once updated, you will receive your passport back.

Finish!!! Yey! Now, make sure that your work permit is being processed at the labor office so, you can extend your Non-B Visa before it expires.

Once done, you can go back to the Tomo 9 corner or shed and wait for the bus going back to Korat. Remember to take the Bus number 1307. Then, ask the driver again to drop you off at Thaosuranari monument. This is a very inexpensive option compared to taking “Tuktok” or taxi as it cost more than 500 baht.  The reason why I chose this alternative way of doing the 90-day reporting because, at the end of this month, I need to go back to the Immigration office again to extend my Non-B Visa as I haven’t got a chance to extend it today because my work permit renewal is still on process. This way, I would know how to go there next time by taking alternative transport; instead of taking ‘tuk-tuk’.
